Supply Chains Act

Section 1: Purpose and Scope
1.1 Purpose
The purpose of this act is to ensure that RMO Corporation d/b/a RMO (hereafter referred to as "RMO") maintains ethical, transparent, and sustainable supply chain practices. This includes the prevention of forced labor, human trafficking, and other unethical practices within our supply chain.
1.2 Scope
This act applies to all suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners engaged in providing goods and services to RMO. Compliance with this act is mandatory for all tiers of the supply chain.
Section 2: Definitions
2.1 Supplier
A business entity that provides goods or services to RMO.
2.2 Subcontractor
A business entity hired by a supplier to perform part of the work or services for RMO.
2.3 Human Trafficking
The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of persons, by means of threat, force, or other forms of coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, or abuse of power for exploitation.
2.4 Forced Labor
All work or service exacted from any person under the menace of any penalty and for which said person has not offered themselves voluntarily.
Section 3: Ethical Standards and Compliance
3.1 Prohibition of Forced Labor and Human Trafficking
RMO strictly prohibits the use of forced labor and human trafficking in its supply chain. Suppliers and subcontractors must adhere to all relevant international, federal, state, and local laws regarding forced labor and human trafficking.
3.2 Wages and Working Conditions
Suppliers must provide wages and benefits that meet or exceed the minimum requirements defined by law or industry standards, whichever is greater. Working conditions must be safe and hygienic.
3.3 Child Labor
The use of child labor is strictly prohibited. Suppliers must comply with all applicable child labor laws and regulations.
3.4 Non-Discrimination
Suppliers must not discriminate in hiring and employment practices, including on the basis of age, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, or disability.
Section 4: Transparency and Monitoring
4.1 Record Keeping
Suppliers must maintain accurate records to demonstrate compliance with this act. These records should be made available for review by RMO upon request.
4.2 Audits and Inspections
RMO reserves the right to conduct audits and inspections of suppliers’ facilities and practices to ensure compliance with this act. Third-party auditors may also be employed for this purpose.
4.3 Reporting Violations
Suppliers are required to report any violations of this act to RMO immediately. RMO will provide a secure and confidential mechanism for such reporting.
Section 5: Enforcement and Consequences
5.1 Non-Compliance
Suppliers found to be in violation of this act may be subject to corrective actions which may include termination of business relationships, financial penalties, and legal action.
5.2 Corrective Action Plans
Suppliers who fail to comply with this act must implement corrective action plans approved by RMO within a specified timeframe. Continued non-compliance will result in termination of the business relationship.
Section 6: Training and Education
6.1 Training Programs
RMO will provide training programs to educate suppliers and their employees about the requirements of this act, and the importance of maintaining ethical and sustainable supply chain practices.
6.2 Continuous Improvement
RMO and its suppliers will work together to continuously improve supply chain practices, ensuring that new and emerging risks are effectively managed.
Section 7: Communication
7.1 Act Availability
A copy of this act will be made available to all suppliers and subcontractors. This act will also be published on RMO’s official website.
7.2 Regular Updates
RMO will regularly update this act to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and best practices. Suppliers will be notified of any significant updates or changes.
Section 8: Miscellaneous
8.1 Legal Jurisdiction
This act will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which RMO operates.
8.2 Severability
If any provision of this act is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
