An ATM withdrawal limit is the maximum amount of cash you can withdraw from an ATM in a single day. Nearly every bank sets one, and it is separate from your account balance.
Why ATM limits exist:
- Security — if your card is lost or stolen, a daily limit caps how much someone could withdraw before you report it.
- ATM cash supply — machines hold a finite amount of cash.
Two limits to know about:
- Daily ATM withdrawal limit — the cash limit at ATMs.
- Daily debit purchase limit — a separate limit on card purchases, usually higher than the cash limit.
Your specific limits depend on your account type and relationship with RMO. You can find them in MyRMO or by contacting RMO.
If you need more cash than the daily limit allows:
- Visit an RMO Retail Center to withdraw a larger amount in person.
- Ask RMO whether a temporary limit increase is available.
- Consider a cashier's check for a large payment instead of cash.
Note: using an ATM outside the RMO network may add a fee and may be subject to that operator's own limits.
