If you have been in an accident or your vehicle has been damaged, you can file an auto insurance claim quickly through MyRMO.

Steps to File a Claim:

  1. Ensure everyone is safe. Call emergency services if there are injuries or hazards.
  2. Document the scene: take photos of all vehicles involved, damage, road conditions, and any relevant signage or traffic signals.
  3. Exchange information with other drivers (name, insurance, contact, license plate).
  4. Log in to MyRMO and navigate to "Insurance" then "File a Claim."
  5. Select "Auto Insurance Claim" and provide details about the incident: date, time, location, description of what happened, and a police report number if available.
  6. Upload photos and any supporting documents.
  7. Submit the claim and receive your claim number.

What Happens Next:

  • A claims Expert is assigned to your case, typically within 24 hours.
  • The Expert will contact you to review the details and, if needed, arrange a vehicle inspection.
  • Once the claim is approved, you will receive instructions for repair at an RMO-approved shop or a direct payment for the covered amount minus your deductible.
  • If you have rental car reimbursement coverage (MyAuto Plus or Premium), the Expert will arrange a rental vehicle for you.
