Communications Center
The official RMO hub for managing your email preferences, verifying whether a message is really from RMO, and reporting suspicious activity.
Where RMO actually contacts you
These are the only channels RMO uses to communicate. Anything outside this list claiming to be from us isn't.
Email Primary
Every legitimate email comes from an address ending in @rmous.org and every link points back to rmous.org. Marketing, statements, alerts, and reset links all share that domain.
SMS & text Transactional
Two-factor codes, fraud alerts, and any alerts you've opted into through MyRMO. RMO does not send marketing offers by text.
Push notifications App only
Sent only through the official MyRMO mobile app on iOS and Android. Any other app claiming to push RMO alerts isn't ours.
Phone Member Services
Inbound: call us at (888) 764-3448 or the 24/7 line at (888) 673-1173. Outbound calls from us will never demand passwords or full SSNs.
Postal mail Statements & legal
Statements, regulatory notices, and identity-verification mailers are sent to the address on file with your account. Reach us back at PO Box 811280, Los Angeles, CA 90081 for general correspondence — payments go to the address on your statement. See the full contact addresses.
Email preferences
Open any RMO email and click Manage preferences in the footer. You can opt out of:
- Marketing & Newsletters — product announcements, division newsletters, promotional offers.
- Review & Feedback Requests — post-interaction asks for a public review or private feedback.
- Service Updates & Outages — maintenance windows, planned downtime, non-critical service notes.
Required account, security, and regulatory notices — statements, fraud alerts, identity-verification mailings, payment confirmations — are sent regardless of your preferences.
Three checks before you act on any RMO message
Whether it's email, text, or a phone call — run these three checks before clicking, replying, or sharing anything.
Check the sender
Email must end in @rmous.org. SMS will come from a short code or one of our published numbers. Phone callers should not pressure you for passwords or one-time codes.
Check every link
Hover (don't click). The destination must end in rmous.org. Lookalikes (rmous-secure.com, rmous.help, etc.) are not us.
When in doubt, start over
Open a new browser tab and go to www.rmous.org directly. Sign in there instead of clicking the link in the message.
RMO will never ask you to confirm your password, full account number, or full Social Security number by email or text. We will never ask you to wire funds, install software from a link, or log in through a non-rmous.org domain.
If a message feels off, report it.
Reporting helps us shut down the campaigns aimed at our members and partners. We review every submission and take action where we can.
Forward suspicious emails to [email protected]
Use your email app's Forward as Attachment option when you can — it preserves the headers we need. Then delete the original message. For suspicious texts or calls, email a screenshot with the sender's number to the same address. Account compromised? Call us immediately at (888) 673-1173 (24/7).

Frequently asked questions
How do I know an email is really from RMO?
Every legitimate RMO email comes from an address ending in @rmous.org, and every link points back to a domain ending in rmous.org. If the sender domain or any link doesn't match, treat the message as suspicious. RMO will never ask you to confirm your password, full account number, or full Social Security number by email.
How do I stop receiving RMO marketing emails?
Open any recent RMO email, click Manage Preferences in the footer, and turn off the categories you don't want. Required account, security, and regulatory notices continue regardless. You can also visit /communications/preferences directly using the secure link from your email.
Will turning off marketing emails stop my account alerts?
No. Marketing, newsletter, review-request, and service-update emails are opt-out. Required emails — statements, payment notices, security alerts, regulatory disclosures, account-action confirmations — are sent regardless of your marketing preferences.
Does RMO send text messages or app push notifications?
Yes. SMS is used for two-factor codes, fraud alerts, and opt-in alerts you've enabled in MyRMO. Push notifications go through the official MyRMO mobile app only. RMO does not send marketing offers by SMS.
I got a call claiming to be from RMO. How do I check it's real?
Hang up and call RMO back at the number on the back of your card or at (888) 764-3448. Do not give out passwords, one-time codes, or full account numbers to inbound callers. RMO will never ask for your password or full Social Security number by phone.
How do I report a suspicious message?
Forward suspicious emails to [email protected], then delete the original. For suspicious texts or calls, take a screenshot and email it to the same address with the sender's number.
Does RMO post promotions or offers on social media?
Yes — on our verified accounts only: @wearermo on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and r/WEARERMO on Reddit. Any other handle claiming to be RMO is not us.
Where can I find every official RMO communication channel?
The Verified channels section above lists every channel we use: email (rmous.org domain), SMS, push notifications via the MyRMO app, phone, postal mail, and the verified social handles. Anything outside that list is not an RMO channel.
