Frequently asked questions

What business money products does RMO offer?

RMO business money includes business checking, savings, CDs, money market, and treasury (RMO Bank); merchant services (RMO Merchant Services); and check cashing, equipment financing, and financial planning (RMO Financial).

How do I open a business account, and what do I need?

Business accounts are opened by appointment so documentation is reviewed correctly. Bring your EIN (or SSN for sole proprietors), business formation documents, a government-issued photo ID for each 25%+ owner, and any required business license.

Are business deposits FDIC-insured?

Yes. RMO Bank business deposit accounts are FDIC-insured up to applicable limits. Treasury sweep and other arrangements may extend coverage — ask a business banker for details.

Can I manage multiple accounts and users?

Deposits & FDIC. Deposit accounts — checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposit — are offered through RMO Bank and are FDIC-insured up to applicable limits ($250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, per ownership category). APYs and fees are accurate as of the date shown on each product and are subject to change without notice. Fees may reduce earnings.
Other RMO divisions. Retirement and investment products are offered through RMO Investments; they are not deposits, are not FDIC-insured, and may lose value. Check-cashing and currency-exchange services are offered through RMO Financial and are not deposit products. See the applicable account agreement, rate sheet, and fee schedule for full terms, conditions, and any transaction limits.
