Your RMO home protection plan covers the repair or replacement of covered home systems and appliances that fail due to normal wear and tear. Here is an overview by category.
Home Systems (All Plans):
- Heating system (furnace, heat pump, ductwork)
- Electrical system (wiring, panels, switches, outlets)
- Plumbing system (pipes, faucets, toilets, stoppages)
Appliances (MyHome II and Above):
- Refrigerator, oven/range/cooktop, dishwasher, built-in microwave, washer, dryer
Expanded Coverage (MyHome III and Above):
- Air conditioning, water heater, garage door opener, ceiling fans, exhaust fans
Premium Coverage (MyHome IV Only):
- Pool and spa equipment, well pump, septic system, roof leak repair (up to plan limits)
What Is Not Covered:
- Pre-existing conditions known at the time of enrollment
- Cosmetic defects that do not affect function
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or acts of nature (such as floods or earthquakes)
- Outdoor items not specified in the plan (e.g., sprinkler systems unless added as an option)
