Important information about the procedures for opening a new account with RMO.
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
This requirement comes from the USA PATRIOT Act and applies to RMO and its financial subsidiaries when you open an account or establish certain financial products or services.
When you open an account, RMO will ask for information that allows us to identify you. For an individual, this typically includes:
We may also ask to see your driver’s license, passport, or other identifying documents, and we may verify the information you provide through consumer reporting agencies, public databases, or other sources.
When an account is opened for a business, trust, or other entity, we will ask for documents and information that identify the entity — which may include formation documents, an employer identification number, and identifying information for the individuals who own or control the entity.
If you do not provide the requested information, or if we are unable to verify your identity, RMO may not be able to open your account or may need to close an account that has already been opened.
If you have questions about the information RMO collects when you open an account, contact RMO Member Services at (888) 764-3448, or in writing at RMO Corporation, PO Box 811280, Los Angeles, CA 90081.
