Adding a joint account holder or authorized user allows another person to access and manage your RMO account. Here is how each option works.
Joint Account Holder:
A joint account holder has equal ownership of the account, including the ability to make deposits, withdrawals, and account changes.
- Both parties must be present (by appointment) and provide valid government-issued ID and SSN.
- Schedule an appointment through MyRMO or by calling us to add a joint holder.
- The new joint holder will receive their own debit card and MyRMO access.
- Both parties are equally responsible for the account, including any overdrafts or fees.
Authorized User (Credit Cards):
An authorized user can make purchases on your credit card but is not responsible for payments.
- Log in to MyRMO, go to your credit card account, and select "Add Authorized User."
- Provide the authorized user's name, date of birth, and SSN.
- A card in their name will be mailed to your address.
- You can set spending limits for authorized users and remove them at any time through MyRMO.
Authorized Signer (Business Accounts):
Business accounts can add authorized signers who have access to specific account functions. Schedule an appointment through MyRMO or by calling us to set this up with an Expert.
